Free Checklist
Restaurant Website Checklist.
The elements that separate a website that books tables from one that just looks nice.
Checklist
Above the Fold
- Restaurant name and cuisine type are clear within the first few seconds.
- A clear call-to-action is visible without scrolling (reserve, order, or call).
- Phone number is clickable, especially on mobile.
- Address and hours are visible or one click away.
Menu
- Menu is a real webpage, not just a PDF or image.
- Prices are current and match what's charged in-store.
- Dietary/allergen information included where relevant.
- Menu is easy to update without needing a developer.
Mobile & Performance
- Site is fully usable on a phone, not just "technically responsive."
- Pages load in a few seconds, not ten-plus.
- Images are compressed, not multi-megabyte uploads straight from a camera.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap accurately on mobile.
Conversion Paths
- Online ordering or reservation system is integrated directly, not buried in a menu.
- A real, monitored contact form or click-to-call option exists.
- Google Maps embed or clear directions link included.
- Social proof (reviews, ratings, or press mentions) is visible somewhere on the site.
Technical & SEO Basics
- Site uses HTTPS (secure padlock in the browser).
- Each page has a unique title tag and meta description.
- Business name, address and phone number match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Site is submitted to Google Search Console.
